We recently completed the supply & installation of a pair of house gates in Northwood, near Harrow, London. We had already supplied and installed a pair of decorative electric driveway gates to the front of our clients premises. To complete the look at the front of the property, we were asked to incorporate the design of the existing vehicle gates into the new House Gates.
The gates were constructed from heavily galvanised box section steel. All items were powder coated in black to give a traditional wrought iron appearance. We installed fully adjustable hinges to allow for any settlement or movement of the gates or posts in the future. The proportions were adjusted to suit our clients specifications. The house gates in Northwood allowed access into the rear of the premises on both sides. On one side, the gate was designed to fit between two new posts that were firmly concreted into the ground. The other side was slightly wider. In this instance, we also supplied matching infill panels to sit either side of the new gate.
Each gate was fitted with a high quality lock and handle arrangement.
As the posts were being installed around finished decorative paving, we had to be extremely careful when installing the new gate posts. Once the posts were installed we trimmed the paving around the new posts and finished to our usual high standards.
As with all of our installations, whether they are automated gates or manual gates, everything is produced and installed by our team of professionals to the highest of standards working towards millimeter accuracy.
Once the gates, posts and all other associated steel work was installed, we carefully went round every square inch checking for imperfections and touching up accordingly. Whilst our team was on site, we made some minor adjustments to the automatic gates to ensure they were working as efficiently as the day they were installed.
