Our team of highly skilled gate automation engineers recently completed the installation of Electric Gates near Seer Green, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. Our client decided on a single piece Aluminium Gate in the “Hanslope” design as shown in our gallery. The automatic gate was designed to fit the clients specific drive width. The driveway gates were powder coated in our clients colour of choice. In this instance they opted for a natural shade that didn’t overpower the front of the property.
As this was a sliding gate rather than a swing gate, we installed a Beninca Bull 624 Sliding motor. The Beninca motor provides a very smooth and controlled opening and closing operation. The gate automation equipment was installed with the utmost care and attention by our team. To further increase the smoothness of the operation we installed nylon tooth racking which results in an extremely quiet operation.
As with all of our automated gate installations safety is the top of of priority list. The sliding motor comes with built in obstacle detection. This means that should the motor detect an obstruction the gate will quickly stop and reverse slightly to move away from the obstruction. In addition to this we also installed 3 pairs of safety photocells. These shine an infrared beam across the entrance. If the infrared beams are blocked the gates will not open or close (depending on which beam is blocked) until the beams are cleared. Finally, to reduce further harm we also install resistive safety edges to prevent limbs where necessary. These resisitive safety edges (or rubber strips) stop the gate once they are pressed. On this installation we installed them on the either end of the gate and on one of the gate posts.
Access through the gate is done via a GSM based intercom system, coded keypads and hand held radio transmitters.
