The electric gates installed in Stansted provide the first line of security for our clients property. Additionally, the automatic gates now provide a much more convenient means of entering and exiting the premises. Our client opted for a square topped aluminium gate, more commonly referred to as the ‘Newgate’ Further examples of this design can be found on our website gallery by clicking here.
Due to the size of the gates, we installed a pair of steel posts inside the existing brick piers. the gates were hung from the steel posts rather than putting unnecessary stress on the brick piers. The gates were installed with Beninca DU350 NVE underground gate automation equipment. The DU350 gate automation equipment comes with internal gate stops. Normally we would install physical stops in the closed position. Unfortunately, due to the gradient of the drive it wouldn’t have been possible to install a centre stop without it being too tall and potentially catching on the underside of vehicles. To provide additional security we installed a magnetic lock to the gates.
The gates were manufactured by Lifestyle Gates to our clients specifications. The gates were powder coated in black as requested. To finish the gates off, our client had seen one of our previous installations that featured the house name in large polished stainless steel lettering across the gates. They requested the same sign writing for their gates. The polished lettering works extremely well against the satin black gates.
Our client specified a GSM intercom system, hand held radio transmitters and timed exit induction loop to control the electric gates installed in Stansted. The GSM intercom system is manufactured by AES and supplied by Beninca UK. The intercom system has a bespoke app from where it is programmed with the relevant information. The exit induction loop allows free exit for vehicles during specific times of the day.
